Are there any retro 90's clubs/bars in Liverpool and what is the best one?
I used to be a serious 'clubber' in the 90's - dancing the night away to the likes of Baby D, Haddaway, Culture Beat, Strike, N-Trance etc etc etc. However have not been clubbing for quite a while (met my wife, got married etc) Anyway, I'd love to take her clubbing around Liverpool and it would be great to take her somewhere that plays the 90's club classics as she was also a clubber in the 90's herself.
Can anyone recommend a popular 90's retro club in Liverpool or at least a popular club that plays lots of stuff from the 80's/90's? Your views are very much appreciated. Thanks.
PS: I used to also enjoy the "L2" on a Friday night (70's night) It was a very tacky place with garden furniture, plastic pint glasses and big wigs with music from ABBA, Grease etc but it was a fun night enjoyed by all. Anyone know if it's still open and has the 70's night?
I live in Liverpool, I would reccomend the Cavern if you;re a tourist but not for long cos it's not what it used to be, just to see the place. It;s the Matthew street festival this weekend (biggest free festival in the world) there is bands playing in the club some are tributes to popular 70's 80's bands so maybe good. It's an allday all night thing. Many pubs and clubs hosting the bands aswell as on the street stages !
